We have a very simple but key ethos at Stuart House, and that is: “Our Home is Your Home”. The family has always maintained this philosophy and encourages future residents and their families to visit the home, take a tour and discuss specific individuals needs. All of the team works to these values and we pride ourselves on the long service of our staff.
As part of our ethos we also pride ourselves in the food that we provide. Our menu is rotated every 4 weeks and we vary the produce seasonally. Much of the food is sourced locally, is prepared freshly and cooked solely in the main kitchen. We can cater for specific needs and encourage our residents to dine together when possible.
The Reverend from St Luke’s Church, Cell Barnes Lane, St Albans calls regularly (every 6 weeks) although many residents enjoy a regular visit from their own cleric or representative of their preferred denomination.
Our beautiful secluded gardens are available for all to enjoy. We have a number of seating areas, a summerhouse and we are lucky to have regular visits from a variety of wildlife. Our gardens are maintained and updated throughout the seasons by a team of gardeners overseen by Fraser.
We also provide a full range of activities detailed on our Wellbeing page.
