At Stuart House we have 2 in-house entertainments co-ordinators who organise specific activities twice weekly as well as trips to the theatre, cinema, local attractions and tea and coffee mornings outside Stuart House. They organise entertainers, armchair activities, encourages hobbies, scrabble and many more interesting activities on request.

We have an extensive library that is operated by the Herts County Mobile Library Service and is for the benefit of all residents, including the partially sighted with a range of audio books upon request.

We have an in-house hair salon and manicure service. The hairdresser is available twice weekly and we provide a weekly manicure service to all the residents. The chiropodist calls every 3 weeks and is available to all residents upon request.

We also have a ‘shop’ where residents and visitors may purchase items from a small range of goods. These range from personal hygiene items to chocolates and tissues. There is a limited range but we are prepared to stock items upon request.

If any of our residents has cause for complaint, we are open-minded, understanding and take the optimistic approach and focus on what we can do to help rather than making the situation stressful.
